Aerolite ceiling insulation in Summer
In summer, the suns heat penetrates the roof and forms a heat trap within your home. Aerolite or “Think Pink” ceiling insulation installed in your ceiling reduces heat penetration by up to 87%. This results in a home which is noticeably cooler. Africa is know for its extreme temperatures, but with global warming on the increase, things are only gong to get hotter. Aerolite saves natural resources by maintaining a comfortable temperature which reduces heating and cooling costs. Aerolite in winter
In winter, heat generated internally with heaters etc. escapes through the ceiling. Aerolite contains the heat within your home and reduces heat loss by up to 87%. Aerolite is available in different thicknesses, namely 50mm, 100mm and 135mm, the thicker the insulation the more energy efficient. An Un-insulated home loses and gains up to 35% of it’s energy through the ceiling and this can be reduced by installing the correct thickness insulation.
Be sure to check the R-Value of the insulation you use as this determines the ability of a product to resist the transfer of heat. It comes in a roll of 10 metres and simply lays on top of the ceiling boards whch means all you have to do is simply measure the distance between the roof trusses.
