Ceiling installation is quick and does not create too much disturbance. Our highly skilled tradesmen install all kinds of ceilings every week. From suspended ceilings, to skimmed ceilings, we have a three step process which is smooth and results in very happy clients. Our fitters are responsible for step one, which is securing the ceiling grid. Using a laser… the ceiling is level and plumb before everything is carefully marked out. Thereafter, the grid is secured. Holding the ceiling in place, the grid is important and is critical that this step is carried out properly. Therefore, only trained fitters do this.
Ceiling installation
Fitting the ceiling boards comes next in our ceiling installation. Drywall screws fix the plasterboards to the grid. The ceiling is now ready for skimming. However, drop ceilings require no skimming as the panels simply “drop” into the ceiling grid. The picture below illustrates how they look. Sizes available are 1200 x 600 or 600 x 600.
Moving on to step number two of ceiling installation, the skimming. Which is by the way, is a vital step in the process, just as important as step one. Moreover, not everbody can skim a ceiling, or a wall, smooth like a babys bum. That’s why we have trained staff with many years experience. Our skimmers ensure that your ceiling finish is the smoothest possible. These professionals combine with only the best cretestone creating a finish which is beautiful. And like I said, they skim both ceilings and walls and any client love the finish so much that they don’t even paint over it. Yes, they leave the cretestone finish. And a clear sealer seals the wall against moisture and mold etc. Visit Unlimited Building Supplies for ceiling installation supplies.
Painting is the final step in the ceiling installation process and our professional painters put the finishing touches on our ceilings. The ceiling is smooth and is ready for primer and paint. See our ceiling painting page for more details on this step.
